Camerawork and Editing **

When coming up with initial ideas for our video i had to analyse the lyrics and see what would fit within the genre of the song and the artist.
I decided that it would be narrative based as the song is very self explanitory, with the lyrics describing different people she comes into contact with at a station.

There is metaphoric meaning behind most of the lyrics, but have decided to portray them literally to give the video a quirky ironic edge. There is a line for example. which states 'boy who has lost his marbles' in which we are going to show a boy literally dropping a bag of marbles.

Will be shot at train station, as this links directly to the lyrics

After listening to the beat of the song, we have decided to have the claps within the melody at the beginning and throughout the song to flash black like you are blinking when the song claps. This relates to the content of the song being the people the artist sees, and with the motion of blinking it is as if you are observing with her.
This will also amplify the visuals.

Shot as through artists point of view, dont see her face.

With the line; 'theres a boy with a smile thinking about marie, coz he caught her in the shower last night accidentally' I envisioned a shot of a bubble coming out of the boy actors head, with an image placed into it of video footage of a girl in a shower.

In certain shots we want to have lots of zoom-ins so it is like the viewers are zooming into her mind.

' A woman with a baby trying to make it stop
crying so shes bribing it with a lemon lollypop'

We thought about having a real -life Mother and baby but with the famous phrase " never work with children or animals we decided that it would be easier to fit more camera angles into a shot where it was just the artist with a lemon lollypop so it stays to our literal theme but also moves the video along progressively.

'You think if i could choose to live here at the station i would?'

Everytime we have a shot where it is at the train station, we will bring the shot to where out artist is standing against the wall at a station. As with all the action that occurs throughout the video, it is important there is a central position throughout the video, to enable a clear view of the music.

With all the other verses within the song, we are going to portray our artist walking down the street and we will use the idea that the audience are walking alongside her, so we are taking the audience along on our journey.

We Will end our video with a slow zoom-in of our artists face singing against the wall,as the will start the video identical to the end- adding symmetry to our video will add depths of meaning to our video as musical compositions are symmetrical and we want to show the audience how talented musically our artist is.
