Album
We started looking around Photo Plus in order to find an effective image for the front cover of our CD cover. We had many different versions, but we felt in order for our artist to compete against existing ones we needed to create an album cover that was striking. As when looking at our previous album cover the font, colours and images we felt were too old-fashioned for our target audience of 16-30.

We did some research into some young and fresh artists of today and used the concepts used on their albums to adapt them onto our artist, as we needed to see how the artists were positioned on the cover in relation to the information surrounding them.
looking at new artist Ellie Goulding, she had a close up image of her face, which my group and I decided looks more sophisticated rather than a further away image. As we want the audience to recognise her image.

After being satisfied with our end image we used our time after this to create an effective back part of the cover, which would include tracklisting. We used a similar idea to Eminem's album, which features our artist walking away. This looks relaxed and melancholy on our album just like the genre of the music that our artist produces.

Advert
We then as a group decided what we wanted on the advert for our album, advert creation started with a basic idea that was drawn out within my group on paper which displayed the concept that we wanted to project into our audience
We knew what image we wanted to feature, and thought of quotes we could use to enable our advert to look as authentic and realistic as possible. Then using Photo Plus we created a very simular copy of what would be our advert. Using a neutral colour scheme was intentional as to create a constant image for our artist we want 'Jose' to be seen a a genuine artist of natural beauty.
